David J. Sterna, OD Dipl ABO

Dr. Sterna began practicing optometry in 1985. His practice philosophy has always been to place the needs and care of his patients as his top priority. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1981 from the College of Wooster with a major in chemistry and a minor in Latin American studies. He also studied abroad at the Centro de Estudios Unidos Colombo-Americano in Bogota, Colombia. Dr. Sterna then went on to obtain his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Ohio State University in 1985. He is bilingual and happy to serve the Hispanic population healthcare needs.

Trisha Vance, OD

Dr. Trisha Vance is from Alliance, Ohio. She attended Lake Erie College in Painesville, Ohio where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. She went on to earn her Doctorate in Optometry degree from The Ohio State University. Upon graduation, Dr. Vance was recognized by Ohio State for her work in fitting gas permeable contact lenses, ocular disease management, and patient education. She enjoys building lasting relationships with patients and appreciates the diversity of her days in the office.

Nicole C. Beharry, MD

Nicole C. Beharry is from Stroudsburg, PA. She attended Temple University in Philadelphia, PA where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She went on to earn her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine. She completed a Transitional Year Residency at Crozer Chester Medical Center in Upland, PA. This was followed by a ophthalmology residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. She then completed a two year Fellowship in Vitreo-retinal and Ocular Trauma with Retina Specialists of Ohio and Akron General Medical Center.In her free time, Dr. Beharry enjoys hiking, running, swimming and cooking

Mark Hassinger, OD

Dr. Hassinger is a graduate of Parma Senior High School, Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from The Ohio State University, Bachelor of Science in Visual Science, and Doctor of Optometry from The Illinois College of Optometry. He worked at Union Eye Care, Inc. for 35 years and for the past 1 1/2 years at Brecksville Opticians, Eyewear 20/20, and Southland Vision Care. He received the Faculty Memorial Award and had an article published in an optometric journal. He has been a member of the AOA/OOA for over 35 years.

Natalie Hartman, O.D.

Dr. Hartman is a member of the Ohio Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. She is happy to see patients of all ages and especially enjoys fitting contact lenses, pediatrics, and managing ocular disease and dry eye. Dr. Hartman resides in Rocky River with her husband and is looking forward to serving the Middleburg Heights community.

Ryan Zaidinski, OD

Ryan Zaidinski is from Wickliffe, OH. He lived in the Cleveland area for most of his life and pursued his Bachelor of Science at Cleveland State University. Being born a Buckeye, he went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry from The Ohio State University before moving back home determined to serve the Cleveland area and meet their Optometric needs. He loves learning all aspects of the Optometric field, having started as a front desk associate, to becoming a licensed optician and certified lab technician where he was taught how eyeglass lenses were made so he can give people the best vision possible.

Donald C. Stephens III, MD

Dr. Stephens, a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, received his undergraduate degree from Kent State University and his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati. He completed a four-year residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Stephens also is Fellowship trained in the treatment of retina and ocular trauma diseases. Having traveled extensively throughout the Dominican Republic, Dr. Stephens is President and Founder of Vision Quest, a non-profit group that provides free eye care to the under-served in that region. Dr. Stephens is fluent in several languages including Spanish and Italian, and has helped chair many public health education projects.
